1. Why should I offer my customers an alternative to single-use plastic bags?
In 2005 Australians used over 3.92 billion plastic bags, and up to 80 million of these ended up as rubbish. These single-use plastic bags have a devastating effect on the environment – they can take up to 1,000 years to break down in landfill and kill many thousands of marine animals.
